Evelyn Strange Memorial Program

When Linda Gold reached out to me with a request to design the memorial service program for her mother, Evelyn Strange, I was deeply moved to contribute to such a meaningful and personal event. Over the course of several weeks, I worked closely with Linda to ensure the program reflected her family’s vision, balancing design preferences with the need for clarity and respectfulness. This involved thoughtful correspondence and collaboration to create a program that paid tribute to Evelyn’s memory while providing an accurate and detailed depiction of the service and its schedule.

This project required not only strong design skills but also compassion, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively during a sensitive time. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a meaningful tribute and support the family in celebrating Evelyn’s life.

Graphic Design

Designing this program required a sensible balance of creativity and sensitivity. ensuring it met the family’s aesthetic preferences while conveying the event’s details clearly while also respecting Evelyn's memory.

Client Communication

Through weeks of back-and-forth correspondence, I collaborated closely with Linda Gold to understand her family’s vision and ensure the program reflected their wishes. I provided guidance on design choices and incorporated feedback to create a final product that exceeded expectations.

Event Logistics

Although I did not contribute to the planning and execution of the event itself, comprehension of the event's logistics became an integral part of my success. This involved understanding and interpreting all of the client's plans into a schedule that would be easily readable to attendees.
