Here’s a project description for The Lost Scroll of Sang Ha: The Lost Scroll of Sang Ha is a point-and-click adventure game created using the open-source interactive fiction tool Twine. In collaboration with a designer, I developed a rich, interactive narrative that immerses players in a world of mystery and exploration. Together, we worked on storyboarding and planning the game, combining our creative visions to craft a compelling experience. While my collaborator focused on illustrating the game’s visuals, I took charge of writing all the in-game text and code. By leveraging Twine’s capabilities and pushing the limits of what this resource is capable of, I created an engaging, dynamic story that responded to player choices, delivering a seamless and immersive gameplay experience. This project allowed me to blend creative writing and technical skills while collaborating closely on a shared vision.

Interactive Storytelling
I crafted a dynamic and immersive narrative for The Lost Scroll of Sang Ha, writing engaging sequences and dynamic story paths that allowed players to shape their experience based on their choices. This storytelling approach enhanced the game's interactivity and replayability.
Coding & Development
As Twine is not traditionally designed for a point-and-click format, my partner and I knew we would need to push the boundaries of both our abilities and the software itself. As the sole coder on this project, I embraced a steep learning curve, mastering a wide range of new skills to ensure the final product aligned seamlessly with our creative vision.
Creative Collaboration
Teamwork, communication, and efficient workflow management were integral to the success of this project. To ensure my coding and writing aligned perfectly with her visuals and storyboards, we met both in person and virtually several times a week, maintaining a meticulous record of everything from file naming conventions to aspect ratios and pixel counts.
